Zhrnutie extensions/phpMyEdit-htmlcal.class.php
Popis It appears that when using either extension phpMyEdit-calpopup.class.php or phpMyEdit-htmlcal.class.php after cvs version 1.151 or later of phpMyEdit.class.php that a change to a record will delete some data from some fields.

Any volunteers for maintaining extestions subdirectory in the CVS?

This means:
* from time to time keep extension up-to-date with the core class;
* make changes regarding to changes in the core class (the aim is to provide extensions simplifycation in the core class);
* definitely make extensions production stable before release (of course, before release other developer will help with this task).

As "hbernard" kindly suggest me some time ago, others directories will be granted for CVS write access as well. However, policy for commiting into the core class will remain unchanged.

Feel free to apply here or write me a private message concerning to this topic.

Thank you!

regarding NULLing values, try changing default prefixes.

from:

function get_default_cgi_prefix($type) /* {{{ */
{
switch ($type) {
case 'operation': return 'PME_op_';
case 'sys': return 'PME_sys_';
case 'data': return 'PME_data_';
}
return '';
} /* }}} */

to:

function get_default_cgi_prefix($type) /* {{{ */
{
switch ($type) {
case 'operation': return '';
case 'sys': return '';
case 'data': return '';
}
return '';
} /* }}} */
(at line around 1488 of core class)

I think I know what the problem is. The extension overrides the display routines for the fields to add the extra information for the htmlarea and calendar routines. I need to update these routines so that they are based on the new CVS versions rather then the older versions as at the moment the extension doesn't have any of the cgi prefix code in it. I reckon it's no more than a 10 minute job - I just haven't had a chance to get to it yet.

I have tested cvs version 1.163 by removing the prefixs as michael has suggested... the script now seems to work... as well calpopup also works

however I have attached a script that has a problem when the prefixs are used...I am not clear on where I should use the prefixs in the script
so that I can stay consistent with development

Thanks for testing this. This proves my thoery above. You should not have to change anything in your script for this to work, the extension should handle it. I now know what needs doing. I'll post an updated extension shortly at which point you can stop worrying about cgi prefixes. Once the new extension is posted you can revert to using the standard CVS version.

...I think I've done the work. Just need to test it, and then I'll post it here. It fully implements cgi and dhtml prefixes.

Any update on the revised calender extension? This would be much appreciated.

Sorry - I've been very sidetracked for the last couple of weeks. I have actually completed the code but not tested it properly. Until I've tested it I don't want to post it here, however if you are willing to test it, I'd be very happy to email it to you. If you want to do that, then please send me your email as a Private Message and I'll get it on the way.

Can't see how to send private messages here, but happy to do some of the testing. Email address is ... (I'll edit this out once you have sent it).

Cheers.

OK - finally tested it and I think it works. I've uploaded the new version of the extension.

nepto - could I ask you to load it into the CVS once you're happy with it. Also, please could you delete the existing calpopup and htmlarea extensions, neither of these will work with the latest CVS. This new extension now includes them both.

Also - one minor change I missed from the comments. This extension no longer requires the css changes noted for the calendar section - this was fixed when the default STYLEs were changed in phpMyEditSetup.

Not accurate anymore, we have new extension from ajh. This one is deprecated.
