The M-1000 Maxigun is a Support Weapon stratagem, essentially a belt-fed, rotary machine gun you call down from your ship. How does it actually work in a mission?
In practice, the Maxigun functions quite differently from most other support weapons. It comes in two parts: the gun itself and an ammunition backpack. You must equip both to fire it. Upon first picking them up, your Helldiver will spend about a second connecting the ammo belt, which can feel tense in the middle of a fight. The most defining feature is that it completely locks you in place while firing—you cannot walk or strafe. You can only aim, rotate, and switch between standing, crouching, and prone stances.
