Legacy titles in professional wrestling are championship belts or titles with a long history and significant prestige. These titles are often passed down through generations of wrestlers, representing a legacy of great champions who have held them. Legacy titles are typically associated with major promotions and are used to honor tradition, continuity, and the evolution of the sport.
Examples include titles like the WWE Championship or the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, which have been held by legendary wrestlers. The rich history of legacy titles adds to their importance, making them highly sought after and respected within the wrestling world.
