I have searched the web site for a while now and I can't seem to find anthing specifically on hiding buttons, such as, 'add';'<<'.

All I found was this http://opensource.platon.sk/projects/bug_view_advanced_page.php?f_bug_id=152

Is there a way to hide specific buttons if they are not used? With the new CVS I find it is confusing for some of my clients when there is a page select form and > and >> buttons.

Although it makes perfect sense for me!

I just upgraded to 5.5 and noticed that I have nav buttons on every page now. I had previously set up the options so that the nav buttons would only show up at certain times.

Did something change with the new version?

This worked in the last version:
$opts['options'] = '';

But not now...

Anyone?

Is there a way to hide the action buttons in the new version?

Hi, I wanted to hide goto button and goto combo, and what I did was open phpMyEdit.class.php and in the $default_buttons array deleted 'goto' and 'goto_combo'

ORIGINAL

var $default_buttons = array(
'L' => array('<<','<','add','view','change','copy','delete','>','>>','goto','goto_combo'),
'F' => array('<<','<','add','view','change','copy','delete','>','>>','goto','goto_combo'),

MODIFIED
'L' => array('<<','<','add','view','change','copy','delete','>','>>'),
'F' => array('<<','<','add','view','change','copy','delete','>','>>'),

Dear [Professor/Client],

There are a few ways to hide unused buttons in a user interface to reduce confusion. One method is to use CSS to set the display property of the button elements to none. This will completely hide them from view.

Another option is to initially set the buttons as disabled and only enable them via JavaScript when needed. Disabled buttons are visible but cannot be clicked.

A third approach is to position the buttons off-screen using absolute or fixed positioning, so they are technically still present in the DOM but not visible in the viewport.

I'm happy to research this further and provide some example code snippets that could achieve the desired behavior of selectively hiding buttons. Please let me know if you need any clarification or have additional requirements.

Regards,
Law Assignment Helper
