Note - all textarea and text input fields now have their id tag set to 'pme_id_<fieldname>'. This will need to be updated once the final decision is made on what the id tag should be called. |

Any chance of getting this put into the CVS? |

I can't get the HTMLArea portion to work in IE6 on Windows XP. Had success in Firefox though. In IE6, the actual textfield is missing. [See the "Weird HTMLArea Problem" thread for illustration]. There has been some talk of CSS corrupting the style sheets included with HTMLArea, however, I have exhausted many CSS configurations and this doesn't seem to solve the problem. |

This seems to be a browser bug in IE. There is an ugly hack available - see this topic in the forum:

hbernard: why this is waiting for #173?
#173 is quite complicated issue, I do not suppose it will be solved anytime soon... |

it's waiting
- for a basic agreement (yours) of how should look id tag like (PME_dhtml_input_fooname, for example)
- a commit.
Of course we can allways change that, but rationales for the id name should be (at least) evaluated. |

So, to be short,
PME_dhtml_input_foo
where
- PME_dhtml_ is the user-configurable dhtml prefix
- foo is the name of the field
seems to be a correct dhtml name, according to #158 and #173

Does this mean that in some future release of PME that we can assume that all fields will have id tag set by default?
Also - if I re-submit the htmlcode extension updated to use the new IDs, can we finally get this into the CVS? |

ajh, I'm pretty sure that if you resubmit your patch
- against current CVS (please check it, there has been lots of change involving dhtml tab names and CGI names),
- using the $this->js['prefix'] variable
- and the syntax above for building dhtml name for textareas.
... nepto will commit, because it seems he wants to get rid of this bug ;-)
And, yes, I hope there will be in a future PME version with a dhtml id for each outputted tag.
This is the purpose of #173, which should allow better css customization of forms. And #172 is mainly for being able to completely parse and rewrite PME output, using #173 for knowing easily what to get. |
