I have a question, (problem sounds so negative, bah)
I want in the ADD screen to get a dropdown list from table2.NAME column, which onchange fills the Code input filed with the table2.CODE (of the selected table2.NAME). So, it is not joined, just this table uses another table2 for filling two fileds of the originaltable.
Table 2 looks like:
CODE NAME
123 Beni
232 Mary
Is it clear? I tried a lot of postings/solutions here but still didnt got it to work

Assuming `CODE` is a unique key, you can create a trigger which automatically updates the `NAME` field after the record is inserted. Refer to the documentation on triggers.

Locate examples for using triggers by using the forum's Search feature to search for 'trigger' and 'update' ... one example is outlined at the following link.

i got the one dropdown filled with the select query. So: one down
Now:
But cant get the textfield autofilled when the dropdown is changed. This fields column corresponds to the row selected from dropdown

there is no way.
All editors handle the events, but offer only triggers is a major flaw. I'm researching and found the https://mysqlajaxtableeditor.com/ but how to integrate it to phpmyedit?
