Mangal Dosh Puja is a traditional Hindu ritual performed in Ujjain, India that is believed to bring good luck, health, and prosperity. This puja is especially auspicious for those born under the Mangalik sign in the Indian astrological system. During the puja, a priest chants mantras, offers prayers, and performs a series of rituals to appease the planet Mars and reduce the Mangal Dosha.
These rituals include lighting a sacred fire, offering flowers and other items such as fruits, coconuts, incense and camphor, and ringing a bell. The puja can also involve the offering of grains, coins, and a special oil known as 'Gulit'. Once the puja is complete, the priest will give the devotee a special mantra or blessing that should be recited for the next one year to ward off any negative effects of the Mangal Dosh.
