Whenever the user of an iPhone with a dual-SIM configuration attempts to make a phone call, the device may display a message that reads "
last line no longer available
" if it is unable to correctly identify the user's default or preferred line. Although it occurs most frequently on iPhone 13 models, it is possible for other iPhone models that support Dual SIM to experience this issue as well.
When you try to make a call from the "default" SIM using the recent call log (which can be found in the Phone app under the Recents menu option), the error appears to occur the vast majority of the time.
After the error has been detected, you will then be presented with a message that provides you with the opportunity to make a call using the "remaining" line. You have the option of tapping "Call" in the box that appears on the screen; however, it is important to keep in mind that this will cause a call to be placed from any number other than the one that is set as your default.
